Ana Delgado is a Conservator-Restorer, based in Zurich, who offers a range of services on conservation and restoration of works of art (easel and panel paintings, picture frames, polychrome sculptures, gilded objects and making replicas), architecture (historic buildings, monuments, stone and concrete structures ) and interior decoration (wall paintings). She holdes a CSCS card that allows her working on any building site restoration-conservation project.
She is highly experienced on conservation, restoration and refurbishment of historic buildings and construction in Italy and Spain. She worked as a Head of Production (Quantity Surveyor), an Assistant Site Manager, a Construction Supervisor, a Cost Estimator and a CAD-Draughtsperson, for several companies on a range of private and public projects, covering residential, governmental offices, art centre and religious buildings. (Caltanistta Cathedral, Cataldo Church, Caritas House (Sicily); Arriaga Theatre (Bilbao); Foral Palace of Bizkaia (Bilbao); a Major Government Building Tax Centre, c/ Montalbán, 6. (Madrid), 192 apartments, garages, storage-rooms, two swimming pools and public areas (Torrejon de Ardoz, Madrid)).
Recently she took part on the restoration of the painted ceiling at the Queen’s House, Greenwich, (London).
She gained two university degrees in Civil Engineering (ITOP), specializing in public constructions, and Fine Arts (Licenciatura en Bellas Artes), specializing in the conservation and restoration of works of art. She is also an independent Artist researching for traditional material and methods such as encaustic (beeswax and dammar resin).
